Magnos is an elite spool stacking machine, capable of threading multitudes of spools concurrently. With its unique divider-funnel system, Magnos v3.14159b Goblin Edition effectively separates groups of spools to allow for quick and easy funneling.
Magnos was created in order to move 20 spools from a specified location to four separate rods within 5 minutes.
This was acheived by placing the spools on a polycarbonate platform. A divider, intially in an upright position, lowers over the spools in order to keep them separted. After the divider is in place, the platform moves upwards along a threaded rod, connected to the platform by a nut which is mounted in the platform. This vertical motion is produced under the power of a drill motor which spins the threaded rod in place. As the platform raises, a small hook catches the rotating part of the platform, thereby pulling it down at a specified angle. The downward slope of the angle causes the spools to fall into the funnels, at which point a vibrating motor turns on to prevent funnel blockage. As the spools fall through the funnels they automatically thread themselves onto rods beneath, ending the process.
