Two wooden side plates are put together with two stationary wooden cylinders and three free rolling pvc pipes.  The last pvc pipe is extended out to the DC motor that turns the belt.

The gates hover over the conveyor to keep the spools from rolling freely.  It also guides to the spools getting onto the sticks accurately.  The cross bar holds the gates in place and is a safety net to knock the spools over in case they are standing when they are pushed onto the conveyor belt.

A high friction rubber belt is used to thread the spools onto the sticks.  The conveyor belt is powered by a DC motor attached to pcv pipe.
