"Future[s] of Climate & Energy"

 Abstract:  

Brief reviews the Climate Change situation with emphasis upon the positive feedback mechanisms evidently responsible for the increasing disparities between the IPCC Projections and ground/ air / water “Truth”. The IPCC projections are proving to be highly conservative. The potential societal impacts of climate change in the farther term are addressed, these impacts are not “Pleasant”.Brief then examines the current approaches to “Green” energy generation, storage, conservation and transmission.Brief addresses the problems with the Nuclear options and contains several novel energetics approaches/ sources including one fully capable, in the nearer term of “Solving” land, water, food, energy and climate change which could be employed in West Texas. Overall, the combinatorial energy issues of diminishing fossil fuel  sources/ economics and climate change are addressable with technologies either available or in the pipeline. Cultural and sunk investments issues along with innate societal conservatism are the major impediments to expeditious solution of several energy/ climate related existential societal issues.
