Morgan Goodwin - Undergraduate Honor's Research Assistant
Morgan Goodwin is studying the visco-elastic and visco-plastic behavior of industrial polymers.  She is developing techniques to identify the time-temperature master curves and the curing characteristics for aerospace grade composites. Morgan is using the Thermal Analysis Dynamic Mechanical Analyzer (TA-DMA Q-800) to develop the master curves, and is concurrently developing software to best fit the observed results to standard visco-elastic/plastic theories, and her results will aid in validating the models being proposed by Dr. Richard Schapery as part of the NASA COPV efforts.
